About our data & methodology
Mortgagee Clauses is a verified reference for mortgagee clause wording, loss-payee addresses, and proof-of-insurance routing. We publish what we can stand behind—not scraped guesses.
What we list publicly
Every lender page includes the entity name, category, city and state when known, NMLS ID when available, verification portal or servicer names, verification status, and a checked date for Verified listings. Search is free.
Verified vs Pending Verification
- Verified — Clause text or address matched to a primary source we document internally. Public pages show status and checked date (MM-YYYY), not the source URL or full clause text.
- Pending Verification — We list the lender for search and community requests but have not yet published verified clause wording from a primary source.
Primary sources only
We prioritize lender-published instructions, regulator filings, and servicer portals—not anonymous forum posts or outdated PDFs. When a servicer changes a PO Box or portal, we update the listing and checked date after review.
Member-only fields
Copy-ready clause blocks, mailing addresses, phone and fax numbers, and verification source links appear only to signed-in users with an active trial or paid plan. Public HTML and search indexes never include those fields.
