Understanding Insurance Verification Portals: MyCoverageInfo, ihaveinsurance, and Beyond

Guides April 2, 2026 6 min read

When a borrower gets a letter saying "verify your insurance or we'll force-place a policy," they're being directed to one of a handful of insurance verification portals. These portals are the bridge between your agency and the lender's insurance tracking system.

Understanding which portal a lender uses โ€” and more importantly, the exact URL and login process โ€” saves you time on every transaction.

The major platforms

MyCoverageInfo.com (Assurant)

The most widely used portal. Handles insurance tracking for Chase, Bank of America, PNC, PennyMac, Flagstar, Mr. Cooper, Rocket Mortgage, Freedom Mortgage, M&T Bank, and dozens of others.

Each lender has a specific path. Chase is at mycoverageinfo.com/chase. PNC is at mycoverageinfo.com/pnc. Some lenders use alphanumeric codes โ€” Wells Fargo has wf708 and wf936 for different loan portfolios, and Cenlar-serviced loans use cen300.

The borrower login requires the loan number, ZIP code, and last four digits of the SSN. The agent portal at mycoverageinfo.com/agent uses loan number, ZIP, and borrower's last name.

ihaveinsurance.com (Proctor Financial / PFIC)

Used by U.S. Bank (ihaveinsurance.com/usbank), Wells Fargo (ihaveinsurance.com/wellsfargo), and other lenders serviced through Proctor Financial.

Login requires loan number and ZIP code. Simpler than MyCoverageInfo โ€” no SSN needed.

ImCovered.com

Uses both lender-specific paths (like imcovered.com/cutx for Credit Union of Texas) and a borrower-specific Unique ID (UID) โ€” an 8-12 digit number printed on the lender's notice letter.

Common with credit unions and smaller lenders. The agent flow asks whether you have the client's UID.

ExpressInsuranceInfo.com (Covius)

Uses numerical codes embedded in the URL. RoundPoint Mortgage uses expressinsuranceinfo.com/3145043. Each servicer has a permanent numerical code.

Login process: enter the code from the notification letter or URL, then follow the guided workflow.

MyInsuranceInfo.com (Allied Solutions)

Common with credit unions like Navy Federal and VyStar. Uses a reference ID found on the lender's notice letter (upper-right corner) along with a control number.

If the borrower doesn't have the reference ID, they can look up their loan with last name + ZIP + street number + loan number.

Why the specific URL matters

Going to the generic portal (like mycoverageinfo.com) doesn't always work. Many lenders require you to use their specific path โ€” otherwise the system won't recognize the loan. If you go to mycoverageinfo.com instead of mycoverageinfo.com/chase, you might not be able to pull up a Chase loan.

This is why we map every lender to their exact portal URL in our database. No guessing.
